JJ Stallsworth - Head Coach

J.J. has been very active in hockey from a very young age. He began taking skating lessons at the age of 2 ½ and started to play ice hockey at the age of 5. After working his way up through the Sylvania hockey system, he played four years of varsity high school hockey for Sylvania Southview. While at Southview, he lead the team in scoring both Jr and Sr years and earned 2nd team all-NHC honors. Following his high school career, he enrolled at The Ohio State University.
While at Ohio State, JJ was in charge of the Intramural Ice Hockey department and also worked as a hockey referee and equipment manager. In the fall of 1997, joined the Men's Club Ice Hockey Team at Ohio State, and almost instantly took over every aspect of the program when the coach left mid-season. Throughout the ten years he was in charge of the OSU Club Hockey Team, the program was completely rebuilt from the ground up. As a direct result of JJ's time, effort, hard work, dedication, and coordination, the team was able to grow into a very successful ACHA D-II powerhouse, with the team making two consecutive trips to the National Tournament in his final two seasons. At the end of his 5-year playing career, JJ had became the all-time leading scorer in OSU Club Hockey history. During his time coaching at Ohio State, JJ served as a member of the American Collegiate Hockey Association national ranking committee for four seasons and was the Southeast Regional Tournament Director in 2007. JJ moved to High School hockey in 2007 when he became the Head Coach at Dublin Scioto. He spent 3 seasons there rebuilding their hockey program back up to Varisty status. In 2010 he lead the Irish to their first ever OHSAA District Tournament victory in school history. He is currently the Varsity Head Coach at Gahanna Lincoln High School. JJ currently is a manager at The Hockey Stop in Powell, OH. He and his wife, Jen, live in Pickerington and have a daughter, Isabelle, and a son, Alexander. |

Todd Stallsworth - Asst. Coach

Todd brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience to the Team Columbus Hockey Program. He comes from Sylvania, OH where he competed for his high school hockey team and was voted First Team All-League and his team's Most Valuable Player as a senior. Todd decided to pursue a mathematics degree at the Ohio State University in 1997. While in school, Todd took over a struggling CAHA Pee Wee A Travel Team late in the season. He doubled their wins from 6 in as many games and led them to an end of the season tournament championship. During the 1999-2000 season, he led the same Pee Wee A team to a CSHL league title. After completing another season as Head Coach for the Capital Amateur Hockey Association, he was offered the Goaltending Coach position at the Ohio State Club Hockey Team. In his tenure as Goaltending Coach there, he was promoted to Recruiting Coordinator and Associate Coach where he brought in several in and out of state players to the program. In 2003-2004, the Club Buckeyes took the Tri State Collegiate Hockey League championship. The following season, the team competed in the strongest league in the country (Great Midwest Hockey League) and consistently maintained a top 7 ranking in the Southeast Region. As the Goaltending Coach at Ohio State, Todd helped move 1 goaltender up to the Division I Varsity Program. Todd holds a B.S. in Pure Mathematics and a minor in Education from The Ohio State University. He also is an experienced on ice official and has officiated at all levels of hockey. Todd was the Director of Official Development for Central Ohio from 2005-2009 and he has been the Goaltending Evaluator for the Mid American Hockey District since 1998. Todd is currently employed as a manager at Play-it-Again Spots in Hilliard. |

Bob Heine - Head Coach

Bob Heine began his coaching career in 1993 after four years in the United States Navy, starting as a Head Coach with a local youth organization in his hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. After three seasons at the youth level, Bob was hired as an assistant coach with the Pittsburgh Renegades of the Empire West Jr. B League, and in addition to his coaching responsibilities he also was named as the Hockey Director at the Airport Ice Arena.
In 1997, Bob moved onto the college level, accepting a postion as associate coach at Chatham College, a women's college competing at the NCAA Division III level. From 1998-1999, Bob was part of the staff at Mt. Lebanon High School, with the team advancing to playoffs both seasons. After moving to Columbus in 1999, Bob accepted an assistant coaching position with the Columbus Crush of the Central States Jr. B League. From 2001-2007, Bob served as the Head Coach of The Ohio State University Club Hockey Team (ACHA D-II). Leaving after six successful seasons, achieving a record of 89 wins, 60 losses, and 10 ties, which allowed him to become the winningest coach in the 32 year history of the team (previous record was 75 wins). The team advanced to the National championship tournament in four of his six seasons, and finished in the Top 25 in the Nation (out of 152 teams) three of his six seasons. In his first season in 2008, Bob led the St. Francis DeSales hockey team to its best season to date, posting 14 wins and helping the team also achieve its first ever win in the state tournament. In his two seasons with DeSales, Bob has been instrumental in assisting four of his former players with their transition from high school hockey onto college rosters competing for their schools in the ACHA. Bob holds a B.A. in History, with a minor in Business Administration from La Roche College, and a M.S. in Public Administration and Policy from Central Michigan University. |

Kyle Adams - Asst. Coach

Kyle Adams began his coaching career as an Assistant coach with DeSales. He started playing hockey during the inaugural season of the CCYHA. Kyle played High School Hockey for Olentangy and with the Columbus Crush. He also played Club Hockey at the Ohio State University. Klye graduated in 2006 from OSU with a B.S in Landscape Architecture. |
