Kent State Shootout - 2nd Place

Congratulations to the team on good a 2nd place finish at Kent State this past weekend, losing by a score of 1-0 against Team Ohio Tier I AAA in the championship game.
Team Information

Team Columbus is a Pre/Post High School Hockey program comprised of players from C.H.C. member schools.
This year, we will be selecting one u-18 team
The team will compete in 26 games from about September 1 through November 1. The season will conclude with the Ohio Tier-II State Tournament held the last weekend in October. The team will then disband for the High School season.
If we were to win the state tournament in October, the team will then reassemble following the conclusion of the Ohio High School State tournament. Upon reassembly, we will compete and try to earn a bid to the USA Hockey Tier-II National Championships.

This year the u-18 Nationals will be held in Lansing, Michigan.

Basic Facts:
- 25-30 games scheduled - probably 8-12 in Columbus (other games usually in Ohio, or adjoining states)
- 14 practices scheduled (mixture of once or twice per week)
- Teams will compete mainly against other PRE/POST teams from Ohio
- Level of play is Tier-II 'AA'
- Eligible players must be a member of a Capital Hockey Conference team in 2011-2012 and in grades 9, 10, 11, 12
- Players are expected to make 3 of the 4 tryouts
- Teams will be selected by independant evaluators
- Anticipated cost of season is approximately $1000 per player

All players are expected to be full-time members of the team and compete in both the PRE and the POST seasons. If you compete in Fall or Spring activities (Football, Soccer, Baseball, Tennis, Lacrosse, Band etc....), please take a look at your schedule before you commit.

Schedules and more information will be posted as it becomes available. If you have any questions, please contact JJ Stallsworth.
